Kamikaze Racer is a very cool little racing game from Germany in which you control a strange little automobile and you have to drive up a road. Along the way, there are trucks to avoid (or destroy) and planes will come out to bomb you, if you’re not careful.
The graphics in this game are cheery 2D and are quite fun. They’re not overly complicated, and they do not try to be. They are just plainly the type of graphics that this game needs, and it delivers.
The game play is exceedingly fun. Just driving up that road is so entertaining and so addictive that I just want to keep playing all day. Of course, there is the added bonus of blowing away any and every car in your path, but that’s just a bonus.
The music in this game is so brilliant. You have to hear it to believe it. Playing this game simply would not be the same with any other music; this fits so perfectly and is such an opposite to the speeding and destruction. There is something magical about the combination.
In summary: download this game. It's fun, funny, destructive and satisfying all in one big hit.
Sorry - I just don't like it. I don't know why, it just feels to me like the gameplay is lacking - there apparently is none.
You have to speed up a road, you don't know whether the things in front of you are pickups or walls (or something else), bombers come without any warning and I didn't find any car to blast around. Besides that, the steering is - forgive me - ****. It's very hard to get used to, which takes much fun from the game.
Last point: The sounds. Please tell me why this "music" belongs in that game. I'd completely understand music like this in a Super Mario game, but not in a racing game, especially when it's about blasting other cars away, like you say.
