Not quite at the difficulty level of the ABA Games we’ve reviewed before, this shooter is a slower paced (though still very fast) shoot ‘em up game featuring three enemy types and intermittent boss appearances.

A very different style than the authors previous outing, “Slash The Building,” Light-Z is a sleek, top-down action game where wave after wave of enemy craft come at you. Yes, I won’t lie; we’ve seen dozens of this type of game. Some have been uninspired and some have been quite weird… so what makes this one worthy of a play?

The action in this game is fast paced but never overwhelming. It’s not a curtain fire shooter; a more relaxed atmosphere will be found in this game which could be a nice introduction to the genre for novices. There are three types of enemies and one boss type who flies in and out of the game when he wishes. The boss is stronger and its return fire is more powerful and direct than its weaker companions. The difficulty curve is a gradual one.

Not too tough for amateurs, and not too simple for the experienced, the game rewards with enough action and exciting moments to keep the game feeling fresh every time.
