Zombie Squirrel Attack

Action

Overview

Zombie Squirrel Attack delivers a hyper-violent arcade shooting experience that sharply divides players. While some appreciate its straightforward Time Crisis-inspired mechanics and dark humor, others find its repetitive action and simplistic design wear thin within minutes. The game's unapologetic gore—drenching parks, cities, and graveyards in squirrel blood—serves as its defining feature, simultaneously attracting niche audiences and warranting strong content warnings. This polarizing title clearly prioritizes shock value over depth, making it a curiosity best suited for undemanding gaming sessions between more substantial titles.

Unflinching Gore and Content Warnings

The game’s most consistent talking point is its extreme violence, with all reviewers emphasizing its unsuitability for younger audiences. Dismembered squirrels and splatter-filled environments dominate every level, creating a deliberately grotesque aesthetic that borders on parody. While the cartoonish art style softens the impact slightly, the sheer volume of blood and visceral takedowns ensures the experience remains relentlessly grim. This commitment to shock value defines Zombie Squirrel Attack’s identity but also narrows its appeal to those specifically seeking outrageous violence.

This game should not be played by younger children. It is somewhere between medium and very gory.

Simple Yet Divisive Gameplay

At its core, the game adopts a familiar arcade-shooter structure reminiscent of Time Crisis: enemies charge toward the player character (a gun-wielding squirrel), attack in predictable patterns, and must be eliminated during brief vulnerability windows. This formula delivers momentary satisfaction through its straightforward action, particularly for fans of undemanding shooters. However, the lack of enemy variety, meaningful upgrades, or environmental tactics causes repetition to set in rapidly. As one player noted, the novelty evaporates after roughly five minutes, leaving only a shallow shooting gallery that fails to evolve. While serviceable for short bursts of distraction, the absence of strategic depth or progression systems prevents sustained engagement.

Presentation: A Mixed Bag

Visually, reactions vary from "flat art" critiques to those finding the graphics "not too bad"—suggesting functional but uninspired visuals that prioritize clarity over detail. The chunky character models and exaggerated blood effects suit the game’s B-movie tone without impressing technically. Conversely, the soundtrack receives consistent praise for enhancing the chaotic atmosphere, with upbeat tracks and satisfying gunshot sounds adding punch to the carnage. This audio-visual disconnect creates an uneven experience: the ears enjoy the frenzy while the eyes quickly tire of the rudimentary scenery.

Zombie Squirrel Attack is, to simply put it, a horrifying game. The story is thus: you are a squirrel and killer zombies are swarming the parks, cities and graveyards. You must blow them to smithereens in the most violent way you can. The graphics in this game aren’t actually too bad. Though be warned, there is a lot of blood, so if you’re squeamish, don’t read on. It’s a very, very violent game (especially if you’re fond of squirrels). The game itself isn’t too bad either once you’re used to it. In a way it’s kind of like Time Crisis where the enemies come at you and you dodge them during their attacks and blast away at them when they’re not attacking. A simple formula which never ceases to be fun. The music is pretty cool and the sounds add to the game as much as they can so nothing to be scoffed at there. In all the game is a well rounded (if short) shooting game and is pretty enjoyable for the most part. So if you’re in the mood for a bit of a distraction, you wouldn’t do wrong to download this game and give it a shot, though be warned again, if you don’t like the sight of blood, don’t play. Though if that’s not an issue, have a ball.

To start off, I would like to say that this game should not be played by younger children. It is somewhere between medium and very gory. I think that this game was quite fun, however, I think all games like this are fun so that might not mean anything. overall, I give this game a 7/10.

A very poor game with flat art, and an overly simplistic plot. Boring after about five minutes... nothing happens, excepting blood. But if you like gun games I guess this could be amusing. But it is definitely not for children.
