Heroes is definitely one of the best freeware action games I have ever played (I say that all too often). There are 94 levels, five different game modes and 12 original soundtracks. Not to mention 10 different tile sets.

Heroes really does it all and it does it well. I especially enjoyed all the different modes of play and all the variance from each time you play the game.

The download may be rather large but you get many hours of gameplay. Trying to complete all 94 increasingly difficult levels will take you some time.
