This chess is terrible. The graphics suck, looks like it was drawn in MS Paint, and it's virtually unplayable.
The computer will find the perfect move every time to throw you off your game, I'm not that Russian guy trying to play a super computer, I just want a sim of playing an actual person of a varied skill level.
Don't waste your time unless you play chess 500+ hours a week.
After searching the whole internet for freeware chess, I found this is one of the best free chess games. Good graphics if you change the colour of the board. It has search depth options. It is a must download. It's weakness is that it can't setup a random position.

You can play one or two players, the one player mode being versus a computer player. This game is a great way to hone your chess playing skills.
