Imagine a platform game. What do you see? Lots of jumping, a fair amount of running and a good dose of exploring? Well, if that’s the case then Knytt falls directly into that category.

Beginning with a silent cut scene explaining how Knytt was abducted and subsequently crash landed on a planet, you are given the task of finding the pieces of the ship which broke off. Using its ability to run, jump, and scale walls, Knytt traverses the lands far and wide in search of said pieces.

And what a fair land it is. From the beginning you’ll see what a glorious game this is, graphically speaking, it’s one of the finest freeware experiences you’ll encounter. Each screen is a marvel in design, control and sheer “wow” factor.

Although the game is marginally short on depth, it’s not a game which relies on heavy graphics, CPU usage or real-time anything. It’s a marvellously enjoyable experience and should be treated as such – an experience. And what’s more, its one which should be experienced as soon as possible.

This game is great, it has solid platforming, and very nice, varied visuals. It has a vast world, with few enemies, but you'll spend most of your time figuring out how to get to your destination rather than looking for enemies to defeat. There is pretty much no storyline, other than you were abducted by aliens, and they crash landed somewhere. So you have to go out and find the pieces to put the ship back together (or so I gather). Your journey will take you to everywhere from graveyards to the clouds. You hold the 'A' button and it will point you in the general direction of the closest item that you have to get, but its not really tons of help, as you'll mostly stumble upon the items accidentally. Overall its a solid game that was definitely worth playing.

I played it long before it appeared on Acid-Play. This editor review is not enough for the game. Having many hidden features two of which (hang-glider, balloon) can only be accessed by the game's ini.

Being a 2D platformer you "only by graphics judger"s may dislike it, but it's gameplay is awesome. Though at first look it's just a time burner, this game is long enough to spend 5 hours of gameplay including the search for secrets.

Finally, If your PC isn't good enough to play "cool graphics" games, but you need games, this game will just ROCK YOUR WORLD!
